What can be done?

Just started keeping track...

#RESISTOFTEN.  Some badass activists from Greenpeace did this:

#SPEAK OUT Speak out on #NODAPL. Public comment matters.

#OCCUPY Occupy the limited space for public comment that the system gives you. More on public comment.

#DISRUPT Disrupt business as usual. The status quo relies on quiet compliance. Disruption is worthy civil disobedience.

#DEMAND Demand that your university reflect student consensus on climate change and fossil fuels. You pay the bills, your voice should count.

#TAKE GROUND Take ground and space when people are auctioning off the earth for destruction (and bring some songs and noise-makers with you). Public lands demand public defense, not private exploitation.

#BLOCKADE Blockade a coal port (by kayak). The atmosphere is a public good. We have a right to defend it.

#ORGANIZE  Organize 1000s of committed people to shut down a massive coal-mine in Germany. The power of solidarity.

#SING  Learn how to sing.  For our grandchildren and their grandchildren, sing.  A great disruption of oil and natural gas leasing in Utah.

#ENVISION RADICAL CHANGE Embrace a real vision for a clean energy future. Here are a few:

Labor Network for Sustainability

Mark Jacobsen's plan for zero carbon by 2050 (video below).

#ACT OUT Make a giant oil pipeline out of trash bags and defend water at an Army Corps of Engineers office

#TAKE A STAND Take a stand at a pipeline construction site.  Or at least, show your solidarity with those who do: www.standwithstandingrock.net.
